Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh meets Goan Fishermen

The Union Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh arrived in Goa this morning. He visited Khariwada, Katem Baina in Marmugao Taluka and Coatigao, Agonda,Talpona and Galgibag in Canacona Taluka and interacted with locals to understand the problems of people those who are being effected due to CRZ.

Earlier he had given promise to the leaders of Goa that he will pay the visit to Goa and study the problems and try to find the solution to the problems.

When arrived early morning in Goa, he was received at Dabolim Airport by Chief Minister Digambar Kamat, Minister for Environment Alexio Sequeira, Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha Shantaram Naik and General Secretary, GPCC Altinho Gomes.
