Cabinet reshuffle only after Hariprasad’s visit

The reshuffle of the cabinet headed by Mr Digambar Kamat, would now take place only after the visit of Mr B K Hariprasad, the All India Congress Committee general secretary in-charge of Goa desk, to the state.
Mr Hariprasad is likely to visit the state soon. Though the official reason for his visit is to hold the meeting of the co-ordination committee of the partners in the state government, which is long overdue, he is likely to convey the decision of the party high command to the ministers on dropping them from the cabinet.

The sources in the Congress party said that it was almost certain that the two year old ministry in the state would be re-cast and a few new ministers sworn-in after dropping some of the tainted ministers, against whom complaints have been lodged with the party high command.

An MLA of the Congress party, who is in touch with the AICC general secretary, informed 'The Navhind Times' that Mr Hariprasad has told him that he would visit the state later this week or early next week to sort out various problems faced by the state authorities.
