The selection procedure for the ‘Indian Panorama’ section of the 40th International Film Festival of India, which is set to begin on November 23 in Goa, is a highly disorganised affair, reliable sources said.
A seven-member panel will submit a list of films to be screened at the ‘Indian Panorama’ section of the International Film Festival of India to be held in Panjim, Goa.
The Panorama section of the festival showcases the best of Indian cinema produced over the last year but it suffers due to callous handling.
The selection process, which began on 1st October suffered from lack of seriousness, with members of the panel missing during the screenings, sources said.
The jury is chaired by filmmaker Muzaffar Ali and includes Raja Mitra, Bobby Bedi, J Mahendran, Joseph Pulinthanananth, Leslie Carvalho and Gautaman Bhaskaran.
