Goa MP Naik nominated on Select Committee

Rajya Sabha has nominated Shri Shantaram Laxman Naik M.P . as one of the Members of The Select Committee constituted for examining the Commercial Division of High Courts BILL 2009 as per a resolution passed unanimously by Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.

The resolution moved by The Union Minister of Law and Justice Shri M.Veerappa Moily said That the Bill, to provide for the constitution of a Commercial Division in the High Courts for adjudicating commercial disputes and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto, as passed by Lok Sabha, be referred to a Select Committee on Rajya Sabha consisting of Shri Shantaram Laxman Naik, Shrimati Jayanthi Natarajan, Prof. P.J.Kurien, Shri Santosh Bagrodia, SHri M.Rama Jois, Shri Balavant alias Bal Apte, Dr. V.Maitreya, Shri P.R.Rajan, Shri Virendra Bhatia, Shri Satish Chandra Misra, Shri Tiruchi Siva and Shri D.Raja

The Committee has been instructed to report to the Rajya Sabha within six weeks .
