The Goa Government today warned that it will not hesitate to ban the Sanatan Sanstha, allegedly involved in Margao blast, if the right-wing group continues to”unleash its divisive agenda”. “We (government) are monitoring the activities of Sanatan Sanstha. Its literature can breed terrorism and if the institution continues its divisive agenda then it will have to face the ban,” Advisor to state information and publicity department, Vishnu Wagh told reporters here.
Chief Minister&aposs Office was personally monitoring the Sanstha, headquartered at Ponda taluka, he said.
The Sanstha is being scanned for possible terror links after two of its activists died in the Diwali eve blast. Responding to the various allegations leveled by Sanstha in a press conference yesterday, Wagh said if the outfit is a spiritual entity then why should it fear any investigation.
Rubbishing the allegations that its members were mentally tortured during the probe, he said the police were doing their job. “The special investigation team is on their job and if Sanstha has not done anything wrong then they need not worry,”he added.
