Navy’s clarification after five days is an insult to goa: MP Goa

Mr Shantaram Naik M.P. has said that Navy's clarification given today, to the Government of Goa regarding the blasts in Canacona Taluka on 10th February and Pernem Taluka , on Tuesday, is an insult to the people of state and, it appears, that Naval authorities are taking the population of Goa and the State for granted.

It is most surprising and shocking that after five days of the blasts in Canacona when the entire administration of the State was trying to investigate the matter to give solace to the people , it appears that Naval authorities were enjoying the fun.

Whether the blasts were due to the supersonic speed of Mig aircraft or otherwise, what was the big secret about it when even our atomic tests were made known to the world immediately after they were carried on.

Mr Naik ,who is presently in New Delhi said that he will contact the Defence Ministry on Wednesday and lodge his protests over the matter.
Mr Naik said that in any case, in view of the past incidents of Migs crashing such trials should not be held even near the Goa coastline, leave alone over the populated area.
