Goa Medical College: Genesis 2010

Genesis 2010 is a two day event designed to provide a platform for the show casing of the immense talent Goa holds in the fields of art, music, dancing and literature. It is our endeavor to bring together all the colleges of Goa, in the heart of the city, for a weekend of fun, frolic, and entertainment in the spirit of healthy competition.

Graffiti: Creativity at its best- Use brushstrokes and color sprays to give way to the rebellion in your mind. Here's your chance to redefine the world in the colours of your choice.

Aliens in town (Face painting): Tired of your "earthling " identity?? Come be the resident of moon, mars or Pluto or even "Ganymede" if you desire..

Wear your mind(T- Shirt painting): Abstract, physical or metaphysical…. No matter what the concept… if you dare to wear it.. the world shall see and follow!!!!

Hawk Eye(Object Drawing): If you thought that art was all about creativity… think again… prove your worth as an artist…

AW, GO MAD, RE!! ( A word Game): Get out your pens mightier than swords… And load your guns with heavy "vocabulary".

Penta-poem (Limerick Competition): The students of GMC will, Invite you to show off thine skills, Write limericks on, Topics shown on the morn, And mind that thou bring thy own quills!

The Shakespeare fan club (Poetry and short story writing competition): For you love to scribble a verse,Or weave fantasies with your pen,To discover the ecstasy of creative bliss,Join in as a Shakespeare fan!

Unwired( Acoustic singing): Strum your strings and sing out loud, No electric music will you find around.

Tub thumping(Unconventional music): Clang your cans, sync your beats, make your own music. From tub thumping to beat boxing.

Roadside Theatre(street play): Which "issue" touches your heart???Pick your choice…Beat the drums and raise your voice.

Craz-Ad(advertising): 'Doing easily what others find difficult is talent, doing what is impossible for talent is genius'!! prove your advertising abilities and sell the "un-sellable"..

Giddy Up (Solo dance competition): Step up to the beat of your heart, Twist, twirl, sway, Get your grooving skills on display.

Get Sync (Group dance Competition): Lose yourself to the rhythm divine,Put your act together in sync and style.

Deaf Jam(Mute Beat): A fabulous opportunity to set the stage ablaze with the spirit of a true rock star , let your dream take dimensions, this Genesis 2010.

Fotosynthesyze (photography): If 'pixels' and 'diopters' are your favourite words, this is the place you got to be in… Click your way to glory…

Stitch less- seamstress(Costume designing): If you ever aspired to be Rohit Bal or Ritu Beri, here is your chance. Pick up the scissors and let creativity rule with the most natural fabric ever.

Mr. and Ms. Genesis: This is your seat on the "horns of a dilemma"…A battle that can unnerve even the stoutest of hearts and yet The opportunity to showcase your looks, talent and wit all at once….the crown is waiting to be taken..

La Passerelle(Fashion Parade): What to expect: Exotic beauties and handsome men, resplendent in breathtaking attire. It is our duty to warn you that not blinking for too long is harmful for the eyes. But then again, we don't blame you, you couldn't risk missing a second of the action on stage.

Headbangers' Paradise(Battle of the Bands): Experience the Ultimate showdown on the battlefield as the Knights of ROCK fight it out with sharp Riffs and crashing cymbals.
