The mother of Devon teenager Scarlett Keeling, who was murdered while on holiday in Goa, has pleaded guilty to benefit fraud.
Fiona MacKeown, 44, of West Lodge, near Meddon, Devon, admitted falsely claiming £19,000 income support between February 2005 and March 2008.
She appeared at Exeter Crown Court on the same day that two men appeared in court over her daughter’s death in Goa.
MacKeown will be sentenced at a later date.
