CB sleuths in their submission to the Bombay High Court at Goa said, that, 24 kilos of the total 280 kilos of Charas was missing from the police godown. While, those available in the warehouse were ‘eaten’ by white ants.

“I will ask for a detailed report…personnel in-charge of the godown till date and whether each entry was registered will be looked into. I will also demand probe on how the sealed and unsealed drug parcels were attacked by white ants,” he told newsmen on the sidelines of National Fire Service event in St Inez.

Replying on action against a suspended cop’s escape, Naik said, the constable should surrender himself to avoid further complications. “The more he distances himself from police action, the more he will be in trouble. I heard he applied for anticipatory bail in Mapusa Court…He should surrender himself,” he stated.

Sanjay Parab, constable attached to Panjim police station was suspended for his alleged links with drugs dealers, has been evading arrest. CB has till date failed to track his whereabouts.

While, other five former anti-narcotic officials - inspector Ashish Shirodkar, head constable Shaikh Hussain and constables Ramchandra (Builder) Kankonkar, Sandeep (Camin) Parab and Saish Pokle were suspended and booked for corruption and conspiracy.
