German major Bosch will invest Euro 10 million (about Rs 70 crore) to set up a new manufacturing unit in Goa to cater to its growing customer-base in food and pharmaceuticals segments in India, a senior company official said.
“We are planning to set up a manufacturing unit for Euro 10 million at Viena in Goa. We are already in talks with the State Government for land acquisition,” Bosch’s Director (Sales) Packaging Technology Division Mazen Homssi-Touban told PTI on the sidelines of a pharma summit here today.
“Presently, we have a small unit in the same place which will be shifted to the new unit,” Touban said.
The company has asked the government for 1-lakh sq meter area for setting up the plant that would manufacture hi-tech machines used in food processing and pharma industry, Touban said.
