Goan shacks in Bijapur district?

Having successfully blocked the erection of shacks on Goan beaches by fueling the feud between the Shack owners Welfare Society (SOWS) and the Goan Traditional Shack owners association (TGTSOA), the Kashmiri-Keralite-Kannadiga Dabba owners association (KKKDOA) has now gone one step further.

It has written to the union ministry of tourism to allow them to erect dabbas on the beaches to replace the shacks. As already revealed by Balcao Banter before, the KKKDOA is headed by the troika of Kader, Kurien and Kantappa.

Their letter, a copy of which in the possession of Balcao Banter, goes like this. “Dear Saar, as per the old Goanese habit of making agitation and litigation without hesitation, the Goanese shack owners are now fighting in the Supreme court. The delay in putting shacks on the beaches is affecting tourism in India and spoiling the name of our country. KKKDOA is recieving lot of letters from Fiji to Finland and Japan to Jamaica to at least set up dabbas on the beaches or else they will not come to India.

Saar, this will deny us valuable foreign exchange and ruin our economy, spoil relations with friendly states and lower our image among the comity of nations. We pray that KKKDOA be allowed to put dabbas on the beaches to serve our foreign guests and save our national economy. The Goanese shack owners’ fight in court will take at least 10 years to resolve and our dabbas can be permanent on Goan beaches. If after 10 years, they reach a settlement, they are welgum to put their shacks in Baramullah district of Kashmir or Davengere and Bijapur district of Karnataka.”
