Goa BJP to assess its performance towards minority

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will carry out an assessment of the party’s performance towards minority in Goa. Newly elected BJP Goa unit president Laxmikant Parsenkar told reporters this week that BJP will evaluate its performance in the state meticulously. “The audit will also check the performance of all the legislators who will be judged on the criteria of how much they have reached out to the people and also how much they have been interacting with minorities,” Parsenkar said.

BJP, the second largest party in state Legislative Assembly, could not make dent into minority vote bank during 2007 Assembly elections. The party has now felt the need to focus on its strengths and work on its weaknesses.
