Goa Youth should work to maintain national integrity

Mr.Shantaram Naik M.P. and Secretary AICC has said that certain political parties nurture terrorists associations although they outwardly they disown them and , appealed to the youth to identify such association who are out to destroy the national integrity of the country
Mr. Naik who was the chief guest at the valedictory function of the seven days camp organized by Nehru Yuvak Kendra Margao, at Ravindra Bhavan on Sunday, said that youth force in the country is a big energy available to the nation since youth under age of 25 are 51% , and that, under the age of 35 are 61%
Mr Naik said that youth, have today, an icon in the form of Rahul Gandhi who can be the most ideal person to whom the new generation can trust to bring in a new era of transparency and honesty in all walks of life. Mr Naik said that youth have to strive to achieve the objective of a castless society although the process will be slow in view of the long traditions and conventions prevailing in the country.

Mr Naik also suggested to the Nehru Yuva Kendra to organize training programe for the youth to face natural disasters like floods, earthquake, drought etc.

Later at the same venue , Panchayat Mahila & Yuva Shakti Abhiyan organized a programme of releasing souvenir at the hands of PWD Minister Shri Churchil Alemao.

Speaking as the Chief Guest of the function organized by Mahila Abhiyan, Shri Alemao praised the role of women organization in Goa and said that he hoped that the bill pending in Parliament which proposes to give 1/3 reservations to women would be passed soon.

There are many women who are capable of entering Goa Assembly, he said.
