Computers can facilitate exchange of literary works :Goa MP

Computer systems with internet facilities can be utilized by writersin Indian languages to exchange their literary work with one another and also to propagate their literary work said Mr Shantaram Naik M.P.at Porvorim today. Mr Naik who was speaking at a function organized by the Goa Marathi Academy at which Mr Naik handed over three latest computers to the Academy under MPLAD Scheme said budding writers normally show
their works to experience writers for critical appreciation.Computers with internet facilities can be utilized by such writers to send their work to others both for reading as also for criticalappreciation.

Mr Naik further said that E-libraries with E-books are going tobe common in the country in near future and, Goa will not be anexception Mr Naik said that software for translating Indian languages into
English and vice-versa is being developed by an institution in th country and that this facility will help journalists as also writers to a large extent.

Mr Naik said that 3G service on mobile is on trial in Goa and, i is going to be a revolution in communication system.

At the outset Shri Narendra Azgaonkar while welcoming Mr Naik kappreciated the gesture of Naik who, he said, was personally contacting the academy from time to time. Mr Vasudev Gaunco, Vice President of Marathi Academy proposed a vote of thanks.

Shri Nilesh Bugde compered the proceedings of the meeting.Shri Shambhu Bhau Bandekar, ex-Deputy Speaker and Shri Gurudas Sawal,senior journalist and former President of the Academy were present.

Mr Narendra Azgaonkar, presented Mr Naik a set of marathi books published by the Academy.
